The Lions Club of Chennai Skyline proudly co-sponsored a Women’s Day Celebration held at the Women’s Indian Association (W.I.A.), in collaboration with the Lions Club of Central Madras, District 3241 C. As part of this meaningful occasion, the Lions Club of Central Madras, District 3241 C, conferred the prestigious 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 upon 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀. 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮, 𝗠.𝗔.

This distinguished honour was bestowed in wholehearted recognition of her remarkable life – a life devoted entirely to service across more than nine decades – characterized by steadfast dedication to humanitarian causes and courageous advocacy for the underprivileged.

A shining symbol of resilience and empathy, Miss. Bhargavi Devendra has spent her life working relentlessly to uplift marginalized communities, challenge deep-rooted barriers, and inspire generations of women to rise with confidence and purpose. Her far-reaching contributions have woven themselves into the fabric of society through her tireless involvement in healthcare initiatives, disaster relief efforts, and wide-ranging social welfare programmes.

Her exemplary service with the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu, coupled with her pivotal role as Secretary of the Women’s Indian Association, Chennai, stand as a powerful testament to her lifelong commitment to the well-being of humanity and her spirit of selfless giving.
