SERVE YOUR LOVE WITH FOOD

The smell of dung pierces the air even as you are about to enter the Madras Pinjrapole in Otteri. Located on the Konnur High Road, Ayanavaram, this shelters sprawls over 12 acres and home to two thousand frail and abandoned cows,.

Started in 1908, Madras Pinjrapole (Gujarati word for goshala) is one of the oldest and largest old age homes for cattle in the city.

Today, our Club members carried out 3 projects at this location. The first project was feeding the cows, members carried the bunches of green grass across different shelters and fed the cattle. Total beneficiaries 2,000 cattle.

The second project was feeding the pigeons, Corn is undeniably one of the best pigeon foods and the pigeons love it in all shapes, sizes and colours. An estimated 5,000 nos. of pigeons flock to eat the food strewn food across the floor of the terrace, Our Members were delighted to sprinkle the corn across the floor and also refill the numerous water bowls kept for the birds.

The third project was Dine with Divine, serving breakfast to the workers at the Centre. Our Club distributed breakfast comprising of Idly, Vada and Pongal to 130 workers.

The generous sponsors for today’s projects are Lion L.K.S. Syed Ahamed and Lion Prasad Hari Parulekar. Delectable and sumptuous breakfast @ Balaji Bhavan for members was sponsored by Lion Prasad Hari Parulekar.
