The coronavirus pandemic has not only brought forward a tragedy but also heroism that our frontline warriors like doctors, nurses, sanitation workers and police personnel have shown. Drenched in sweat, hustling endlessly to serve round the clock, the world is witnessing how the police personnel, and all the healthcare workers, are risking their own health (and their families) for the greater good of humankind.
Lions around the world are finding new ways to connect in their communities. To express our appreciation and gratitude to these everyday heroes – Coronavirus frontline warriors – today our Club felicitated and honoured the 150 Police personnel of K4 Police Station – Anna Nagar. We honoured the Station with Plaque & for each of the 150 personnel a goodie bag of Biscuits, Wheat Flour, Hand Wash, Hand Sanitizer and 2 Nos of Masks. Total Cost of the project Rs.90,000/-.
Our immense gratitude to our PDG Lion L.K.S. Syed Ahamed for suggesting this project, to Lion Mohammed Asif for securing the humongous sponsorship of Food & Sanitation Items from ITC Ltd., to Lion Mohammed Adil for his untiring logistics support and finally our President – Lion Prasad Hari Parulekar for his diligent and passionate follow up and execution to bring this service activity to fruition.
