Lions Club of Chennai Skyline conducted a free multi-speciality medical camp today at Madrasa-I-Mohiudeen Pitchai, Dadashamakaan. The camp covered the dwellers in and around Dadashamakaan, Pattalam and Otteri. As a publicity source, fliers were distributed in the areas selected.
The free health check-up camp saw a good turnout as many visitors came forward to get their overall health checked & monitored by trained paramedics. Over 166 persons were screened by Apollo Hospital and Sight Care Foundation doctors, medical and optometrists team.
A team of doctors and the medical team carried out General Health Check-up, Vision, Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure tests and conducted ECG tests besides providing diet consultations to the participants.
By the end of the camp, a total of 156 patients were provided free-of-cost eye tests, 68 reading glasses were provided on the spot and 48 patients requiring prescription glasses were identified to be handed over at a later date. Around 12 patients who require cataract surgical care were guided to report to supporting hospitals for further investigations and free cataract surgery.
