As part of its Community Service, the Lions Club of Chennai Skyline donated food rations for inmates of Sri Arunodayam – home for the mentally challenged destitute.
Skyliner’s were given a tour of the home; it was heart-breaking to witness the medical condition of the inmates. Each child that is admitted into Sri Arunodayam is unique, suffering a different limitation.
We stayed with those beautiful kids for a very long time than what was planned.
The visit to Sri Arunodayam is a life-changing experience as it was filled with emotions and sentiments. You start appreciating the little things in life when you see people who don’t have them. Only at such times do you tide over the insignificant and immaterial things and appreciate the bigger picture.
The event started at 10:00 hrs and ended by 11:30 hrs. The project benefitted 100 inmates of the home and was sponsored by President – PMJF Lion Prasad Hari Parulekar on his birthday. Total Cost of the project was Rs.7,000/-.
