Cancer is a word that spreads fear through us all. Those whose lives are touched by cancer know the turmoil it can cause.
Lions Club of Chennai Skyline meets the needs of poor cancer patients who do not have access to nor can afford cancer treatment
Our Club donated a Chemoport along with Huber Needles to a very deserving cancer patient Ms. Hemamalini, aged 17 years, suffering from cancerous tumor in the left leg bones and undergoing treatment in Govt. Royapettah Hospital.
Our club also supported another Cancer patient Mr. Parthasarathy aged 76 years undergoing treatment at Govt. Royapettah Hospital. Our Club donated the Gastrostomy Peg Tube to the patient. To feed this patient, a PEG tube is inserted into his stomach through the abdomen.
The Chemoport and the PEG tube were handed over to the patients by our angel donor Mrs. Sujatha. _We are thankful to our angel donor Mrs. Sujatha for her thoughtful donation, making a difference through compassion and generosity_ which helped us fund the purchase of the Chemoport and Needles.
We are also extremely grateful to Lion Nazreen Zia and Lion Ziauddin Ahmed for motivating the angel donor to support our club.
