Our Club successfully organized a Free Medical Camp at AL- Madrasathul Qayyoomiah, # 31/51, T.V.K Nagar 2nd Street, Pulianthope, Chennai 600 012.
The Medical camp was set up in an area of dire need, where the dwellers either don’t have the financial opportunity to see a doctor if they are sick or they wait for it until their condition has deteriorated significantly.
As many as 194 visitors registered and the free Check-up covered General Medicine, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Eye Screening along with consultation by General Physician and Eye Specialists from Udhi Hospital.
- 120 patients were examined for General Medicine check-up
- 101 patients were screened for Blood Sugar Level Check and Blood Pressure examination
- 74 patients were screened for Eye
- 3 patients were identified for cataract surgery
- 22 Free Prescription glasses being issued
Contact of patients that need Cataract surgery was documented and to be followed up in due course for a free eye surgery coming up a week later.
The camp also offered a special pharmacy set up for free prescription medicines and medicines were given free to all the patients as per the expert’s advice.
The event started at 09:00 a.m. and ended by 01:00 p.m.
